Problem

When fresh and alert, we make the best decisions with the available information. However, as we become tired, the quality of our decisions fades, and later reflection may result in us regretting our choices.

Solution

Past research indicates that self-control relies on some limited energy source. This review suggests that blood glucose is one important part of the energy source of self-control/willpower. Acts of self-control deplete relatively large amounts of glucose.

Thea

Thea is an app that helps users track daily activities and body energy when fatigue occurs. It helps users plan their daily life ahead of time. Tracking their energy levels tells them when it is the best time to reboot their energy. They will pop out a fatigue alert based on their daily plan when they feel tired. With Thea, users can always make better plans!

Energy log

Why do people lack energy or motivation?

Given the multiple factors that can lead to decreased energy and motivation—such as poor sleep, inadequate nutrition, insufficient exercise, mental health issues, chronic stress, and medical conditions—it becomes evident how critical it is to monitor these variables closely.

To address this need, introduce the feature Energy log, allowing users to log their energy, willpower, and glucose levels manually. This feature will enable the app to monitor and understand users' health status more accurately. If users activate AI Assistant, the app can automatically synchronize their energy status with their activities, providing a tailored experience.

The app's avatar includes a visual bubble representing the user's energy level: a giant bubble indicates high energy and willpower, while a smaller bubble suggests fatigue and low willpower. This intuitive design empowers users to make informed recharge decisions, ultimately enhancing their well-being and productivity.

Schedule Tasks

How do we help users improve energy?

Introducing a Goal Setting feature helps users improve their energy levels and productivity. Users can schedule tasks and set goals for each day and week, facilitating better time management and task prioritization. By practicing self-discipline and self-monitoring, users can stay accountable to their goals and manage their energy effectively. Additionally, the app will provide reminders when energy levels are low, prompting users to replenish their energy with food or drinks, ensuring sustained focus and productivity throughout the day.

How do we help users effectively prioritize goals?

To effectively address energy levels and motivation, implementing a meditation feature will assist users in prioritizing their goals. Users can access guided meditation sessions within the app to:

  • Enhance Focus

  • Promote Mindfulness

  • Reduce Distractions

  • Break Goals Into Smaller Tasks

  • Receive Notifications By incorporating meditation, users can adopt a holistic approach to goal prioritization and stay focused, organized, and motivated.

Problem

Problem: Without a systematic method for managing the user’s energy levels, she frequently experiences dips in productivity and creativity, hindering her ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.

Solution: The app provides personalized fatigue alerts and suggests optimal times for energy recharging based on the user's daily activities and glucose levels. With its assistance, the user can proactively manage their energy levels, enhance productivity, and achieve a better balance between work and personal life.
